Built by an MSP, for MSPs
FreshZync started as an internal tool at Y'all Tech, an IT services business, to solve a problem we had ourselves — not as a feature built to check a box on a roadmap.
Why we built it
We bill IT support labor — onsite and remote — through FreshBooks. Our techs track that work as time entries against tickets in Zoho Desk. Moving time from one system to the other was manual and error-prone: easy to forget a ticket, easy to double-enter one, and it ate hours every week that should have gone to clients instead of data entry.
We built a tool to fix it for ourselves first, used it in production on our own FreshBooks account, and fixed the real bugs that only show up against live data — pagination limits, rate limits, OAuth edge cases, race conditions in token refresh. Once it was solid enough that we trusted it with our own invoices, we started opening it up to other shops with the same problem.
What that means for you
FreshZync isn't a big platform team's guess at what MSPs need. It's a narrow tool that does one job — sync reviewed, approved time from Zoho Desk into FreshBooks — built and maintained by people who use it to run their own billing every week.
